Trump Campaign Manager: ‘No Sh*t,’ We Used False Border Footage In TV Ad

Donald Trump’s new campaign ad promises to seal off a national border that is out of control — but maybe not one of the actual borders in the United States.

Trump’s new spot boasts, among various maniacal campaign vows, that the tycoon will “stop illegal immigration by building a wall on our Southern border — that Mexico will pay for,” as video is shown of a large crowd of people rushing a border fence.

The clear suggestion is that the footage is of the “southern border” between the United States and Mexico. But it’s not — it’s 5,000 miles away, in a small Spanish enclave on the mainland of Morocco.

Migrants who cross the border there are essentially entering territory held by a European Union nation, even though they are still on the African continent.

NBC News reporter Katy Tur — who has previously been called out for ridicule by The Donald at his rallies — got a very interesting comment from Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

This campaign official for a presidential frontrunner then further clarified his position:

Update: The Trump campaign soon issued a new statement, Katy Tur has also reported — in which they insisted that their use of the Morocco footage over a narration about the Mexican border was totally intentional!
